Larchdown Farm - Bed & Breakfast
Larchdown Farm is set in nine and half acres just outside Checkendon village in South Oxfordshire. The surrounding Chiltern beech woods (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) offer many fine walks and there is no shortage of excellent pubs and restaurants close at hand.

Larchdown Farm

Over the past ten years David and Cally Horton have created a spectacular two acre garden to complement their unique home. The garden features a large pond with a stream that attracts a multitude of wildlife. A pleached lime walk leads up to an enclosed dovecote encircled by climbing plants. Other features make this garden quite special.

Larchdown Farm is not a working farm, however we do have two dogs, two Shetland ponies, ducks, guinea fowl, geese and chickens. As we have open water in the garden, children under 12 years old are welcomed by arrangement only please.

Wireless broadband connection is now available for all guests.

As the M4 and M40 motorways are only twenty minutes’ drive away, Larchdown Farm has become very popular for travellers passing through Heathrow and Gatwick airports. It is only 45 minutes drive from Heathrow and there is an excellent airport bus link to Reading Station where we can arrange a pick up.

Guests wanting to visit London will find that the high-speed train service from Reading to Paddington only takes twenty five minutes so that access to the capital is made very easy. As there is now a congestion charge for taking your car into Central London, using the train is the obvious, easy and quick way of getting about. There is excellent parking available right next to Reading Station.
