Facilities for Bed & Breakfast
guests
A large drawing room is provided for our guests, with log fire,
television, comfortable chairs and dining table. On the south
side a door opens onto the main terrace and lawns of the garden.
A west-facing bay window looks out into the ‘wild’
garden that is constantly moving with a host of different birds
including nuthatches, green and greater spotted woodpeckers
and long-tailed tits. Wireless broadband connection is now available.

Breakfast is served in the drawing room and
we look forward to spoiling you with eggs from our own chickens,
bacon and sausages, home baked bread, marmalade and preserves,
and plentiful coffee or tea. |

For those wanting some exercise,
the heated swimming pool is available to our guests from June
to September whilst the woods bordering our land offer endless
walking or riding opportunities (we can also stable your horse
if required). The local Checkendon Equestrian Centre offers hacks
through the Chiltern beechwoods and this has proved to be very
popular with our guests.
Through the winter months, we host Scottish Country
dancing in the galleried hall on occasional Friday evenings. Anyone
staying on these nights is invited to join in. We have a wonderful
instructor, so do not worry if you have not danced before, as
he will soon show you what to do. |
